EAMCET on 15th April or 22nd April or 6th May 2012:Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), Prof Jayaprakash Rao, Chairman of the EAMCET 2012 will be held in April 2012 was announced on 15th April 2012 or 22. 6 May 2012, also was an alternate on the Council's thinking at the national level, with engineering and medical entrance examinations in the case of any conflict.The APSCHE will announce dates of EAMCET 2012 along with other CETs such as ICET 2012, DIETCET 2012, EDCET 2012, PGECET 2012 and LAWCET 2012 in January 2012.

The EAMCET 2012 dates will be announced considering the schedule of IIT JEE and AIEEE Examinations for Engineering admissions. IIT JEE 2012 will be held on 8th April 2012 and AIEEE offline exam will be conducted on 29th April 2012. The online test for AIEEE 2012 will be held from 7th May to 26th May 2012. On the other side, Intermediate Public Examinations 2012 were scheduled from 2nd March to 22nd March 2012.

Considering all these dates and schedule at the state and national level, APSCHE is zeroing in on the three dates for EAMCET 2012. These are April 15, April 22nd and 6th May 2012. The students of Andhra Pradesh along with their peers from several other states have taken breath after the Central Government's decision to defer the NEET Examination for an year. There is wide spread opposition from state such as Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Orissa, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, West Bengal, Assam and Puducherry. About 60 percent of MBBS seats are available in these states.

An important move was forced to bring down the college students, all colleges in Andhra Pradesh government is considering to establish a special counseling centers. Since the 2012-13 school year, all under graduate colleges in the city of Hyderabad, separate wings for the student to psychological counseling. This suggestion by the wings of the government efforts to help students in colleges is not mixed with other centers, and committees.

As per the proposal put forward by the Government, each counseling center will have to appoint at least one clinical psychologist along with two assistant psychologists who will help clinical psychologist in delivering the duties. The official circular issued by the Government authorities also disclosed that the counselors in the colleges should not be staff members. They should be trained properly before put into services.

The proposal to set up counseling centers in the colleges has its roots in increasing suicide cases in the city. According to the police records, the number of suicides in 2010 was at 12 cases and it has gone up to 15 cases in 2011. The managements of colleges also responding in a positive way for the move as it could benefit students with different backgrounds. The efforts will help the students to cope with the new set up of college education after Intermediate or +2.

With the establishment of counseling centers in colleges, students will have an opportunity to share their fears and also find the solutions to overcome them. The counseling centers also would reduce the number of campus violence cases. There were several instances of campus clashes between student groups. Counseling centers at the college level could act as a watchdog.
