1.University invites application. To be downloaded from the website of the University Fro Admission to study the 2 year (four semesters) full-time courses M. Phil (2011-2012) under the Faculty of Arts and Fine Arts. Application forms are available on campus. www.rbu.ac.in. Only from the date 23.02.12 to 06.03.2012 (upto 4:00 PM) duly filed in the application that is downloaded to 07.3.12 (up to 16:00. ) No application form will be available in college counter sales.
Number of seats available for each department is mentioned against each in brackets
A. Faculty of Arts: Bengali (15), English ( 12), Sanskrit (08), Philosophy (07), Political Science (05), History (18) , Economics (06), Education (10), Human Development Studies (05) Women’s Studies (06), Comparative Literature (06)
B. Faculty of Fine Arts: Drama (15). Rabindra Sangeet (05), Dance (01), Instrumental Music & Percussion (16), Vocal Music (5)
Interview: Each and every qualified candidate in Written Entrance Test and the candidates who have qualified in the NET / SET / GATE / UGC (JRF) / CSIR (JRF) or Teacher Fellowship Holder will be required to appear in Interview of 50 marks. The Interview will be conducted by the Department/School/Centre concerned. Merit list of the candidates will be prepared only on the basis of the marks obtained in Interview.
