4. Numerical Aptitude:
ARITHMETIC :
Number Systems: Decimal and Fractions, Relationship between
numbers and Computation of Whole Number.
Fundamental arithmetical operations: Interest (Simple and
Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Percentages, Ratio
and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Mixture and Al-ligation, Time and
distance, Time and work.
ALGEBRA:
Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra (and their
simple applications),Elementary surds (simple problems), Graphs of Linear
Equations.
GEOMETRY:
Awareness with elementary geometric figures and facts:
Triangle and its various kinds of centres such as Centroid, In - center, Circle
and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, Orthocentre, Cir-cum center, Congruence and similarity of triangles, common tangents to two or more circles.
MENSURATION:
Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere,
Hemispheres, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons (sum of the internal
angles of a polygon), Circle, Right Prism, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular
Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
TRIGONOMETRY:
Trigonometry (for acute angles 0 with 0≤0≤90), Complementary
Angles, Heights and Distances (simple problems only) and Trigonometric ratios,
Degree and Radian Measures Standard Identities.
STATISTICAL CHARTS :
Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Pic-chart , Frequency polygon, Bar-diagram.
5. General Awareness:
The questions of this session test the applicant's general
awareness of the environment in his
surroundings and its application to society. Questions tests person's knowledge of current events and of such matters
of day-to-day observation and understanding in their scientific aspect as may
be expected of an skilled person. The test will also consist of questions concerning
to India and its nearest countries particularly pertaining to History, General policy, scientific research and Culture
Geography, Economic Scene.
