3. Reservation for differently abled (physically challenged) candidates: 3 percent of total seats in all the programmes will be reserved for the physically challenged students. Up to 5 percent of seats on the approved intake in all courses are provided as supernumerary seats for this category. 5. Reservations for Union Territories and North-Eastern States: Have a visit to University of Hyderabad, you will be surprised to see large number of students from North Eastern States such as Manipur, Assam, Nagaland etc. The university reserves one seat in each department for the candidates from UT and North East States. These are Tripura, Manipur, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Applications of these candidates should be routed through the respective Directorate of Higher Education of the UT or NE state. The HCU also provide weightage for the candidates with distinction in sports and cultural activities.
